Ashes- grey and dark

I stumbled into darkness;
Wandering in search of light
A boulder of grief; shattered my soul
Wings broke; before the flight

Where within me were hidden; these demons?
Where, when and how- they grew?
Why wasn’t I aware of the wounds?
Beneath the skin- I am black and blue

Ache is now a blessed companion
It crumbles and strengthens my being
Yet within me are ashes; grey and dark
No reason for disagreeing!

P.S: Sorry I broke the continuity of “Withyou- all along” short fiction- will get back to it by next week.

This is one of my fav of ur works..

"Yet within me are ashes.."
that loves to be reborn and change, that which frets to change..

Ache is not a blessed companion...pain is what we need more than happiness :)

But one day, the pain will leave and the rays of happiness will shine through the tumultuous clouds. Till then, befriend the darkness for only that will remain.

- one who realizes and finds answers these two lines about self is half way unto making himself a better being.

maybe pain got this out of you. it is only time that would answer.

@Yuvika- Thank you.. The poem was built on that very line. Glad you like it.

Thanks Saru! :)

Thanks KP- Oh That means a lot coming from you :)

@Chintan- Ache is noW a blessed companion...And yes .. we need pain and happiness too :D

@PeeVee- Yep! I usually end on a positive note but left this one little gloomy yet little strong.

@Blackandwhiteheart- Hmm.. I borrow lot of grief and happiness from others. I soak in everything a person emotes. Pain- I felt it when I wrote this. Is it mine? I adopted it for those few moments- so yes it is.
