An Evening Conversation [Short Poem]

Every evening is a conversation,

Sun’s retiring talk with a dear tree

“I’ll come in the morn looking for you!

I’ll knock on the doors of darkness with a request  

To let my rays caress with love, your gentle leaves

As they swing with joy, with hope, to see another dawn

Waiting for me to bring that dawn to you

I’ll come, but promise, that you will not let...

The black dusk swallow it all up - every time I am gone.”

Kiss the ground [Poem]

The fresh breeze kissed my skin,

The greenery caressed my soul,

Shimmering water greeted the early morn,

In a breath of air, I took it all!

Where ever I be tomorrow

In my heart it will be- this miraculous dawn

In a moment it bounded me eternally

Makes me want to bend down- kiss the ground!

Love-is in nature!

Love will spread open- like the endless sky

Brushed with crimson-pastel hues

One will grow wings, till, one can fly

Restrained no more- nothing to lose!

Love will fall like a withered leaf

In a silent life- dead, still, as a lake

A motion will set in a pleasant relief

For one is a lover- in wait, of the wake

Love will shimmer on everything- which, one is

Like the setting sun- that shines on the wide sea

Warmth, a cheer, will put one at ease

As long one can let -love be!

P.S: I have been asked a million times about my inspiration for  all the love poems.. one of the inspirations is nature

Morning delight!

 I step onto the asphalt roads

As little crystals hug green leaves

The warm sun gently rises

A sacred morning it delicately weaves

Sunlight dances on the Gulmohar petals

As the road is carpeted with fallen flowers

A mild drizzle plays on my skin

As I am blissfully treated in these early hours!

A light whiff spreads in the air

As morning scent playfully sprays

Oh colours so vivid, a delight to eyes

Stunned by the beauty I mutely gaze!

The Goddess

She sits clam amidst the gushing sea

Her breath a celestial symphony

The wind playing along her hair

Unleash supremacy unaware

The sea feels captive under a spell

As her dainty feet on its rock settle

Music glitters, sprays across the skies

As violin plays with her glancing eyes

When her hand glides over the sand

It quivers, ripples- loses command

The roaring waves caress her feet

Fall back mute and gently sweep

She rises like a pleasant cadence

Flowers bathe in her blissful fragrance

She is woman, a glory, a royalty  

Mother Nature, a Goddess in harmony!

Simple wishes

I want to douse in the sun on a chilly day,

I want to hug the clouds and lie down on the hay.

I want to trot on an unknown terrain,

I want to see the daisy caught in a window pane.

I want to root myself to the ground like a tree,

I want to flutter my wings and fly around like a bee.

I want to be warm like the summer sun,

I want to pour like rain, joy and fun.

I want to sing and hum like a cuckoo bird,

I want to match my steps with a sheep herd.

I want to touch a tree, let the wind tousle my hair.

I want to walk around free, show everything some care.

PS: This was supposed to be a post. But, it was rhyming. So made it a poem. :]
