Ignorant[Short poem]

How foolish was I, when I searched around
Seeking you in every one I met
How ignorant was I, all along
For you dwell in me, undiscovered as yet!

Beautiful four lines! Brings back memories of my grandmom telling me this in her own warm words. Good one.

Sometimes somethings are so near yet we go distances to search for it...lovely words...beautifully crafted lines.

Meaningful verse, Sam. I am reminded of a doha of Kabir's when I read this. The essence of the verse (doha) is something like this. The musk deer searches everywhere for that lovely smell which is emanating from his body, little knowing that he carries the smell himself.

Joy always,
Susan
