Astrology Disturbance [Non - Fiction]

Have you ever had that moment when your eyes slowly drift to the Astrology section and you tell yourself it’s a childish sneak peak and you obviously don’t believe in astrology? If yes, this post is for you.

“Don’t have intense discussions with your spouse.”

“Stick to your guns. You will find a new job. A sibling will cause trouble.”

“Good inflow of cash.”

“Control your expenses”

Oh! That’s like somebody is closely observing my life. “A New job” really? I haven’t yet applied but may be they will just call me in to join from tomorrow.

Now can you finish reading the astrology section with the prediction made just for you your sign? What’s the fun if you don’t read the prediction for the sign of your Spouse/Family/Friend?
And so the mix and match of predictions give you some meaningful input about how your day is going to be- more like a weather forecast that may or may not be true.

I read through the profile of a famous astrologer who claims to combine the principles of Vedic and Western astrology, I-Ching, Tarot, Numerology, the Kabalah and even Palmistry. The right combination of these principles enables him to make highly accurate and relevant predictions. Moreover, naturally gifted with a spectacular intuitive prowess, he listens to and relies on his inner voice, and seeks Lord's blessings to foresee and predict.

Please note – inner voice.

I mean who is this person who is taking it upon himself to predict the days of every living being on the planet?  And prediction- mind you is only the first step- the real juicy nugget is the cure. The cure is supposed to provide relief for the problems in one’s predicted life. Of course before that you will only have to shell out a few thousands in a personal special prediction to understand that you will earn very little in your life. Well, that’s a nice guess that has a good probability of being correct! If you have the money to spend on astrology boy you are going to be out of cash. And this man/woman who looks at you intensely sells you a ponzi scheme. “Spend Rs40,000 on this pooja and mind you it will be specially performed for you with silver idols and your income will increase.”

Shall you fall for it... This very person will add a new dynamic little later. “Oh you just had a kid who was born in the 10th house with Rahu. Your income is got to be affected. But we can negate it.”

By now if you are furrowing your eyebrows thinking.. not all astrologers are bad. Not all of them demand money. Agreed, but one thing they do is- all of them predict. We have seen doctors- who at times after clearing all the scans say – I cannot diagnose what you have. But every astrologer.. will predict.  There is never  a case where he/she will say- “my inner voice is silent today and zup! I have nothing for you.”

For the discussion sake lets say all astrologers do predict. Now I bring in the concept of interference. Astrology  Astrological corrections interfere with our lives. Yes, they do.  I am a strong supporter of a belief – “Everything happens for a reason”. So I can’t help but feel that the pooja’s and astrological corrections are making alterations to my future without completely understanding that they are spoiling a much bigger plan. What if my life has a bigger plan which an astrologer cannot fit into his/her checklist of good life. Imagine somebody would have looked at Gandhi’s kundli and said, “Lot of fame. But a life full of struggle and a tragic end.” None of this is false but it leaves a lot unsaid. The suffering was voluntary, was done to meet a purpose and brought lot of inner peace (probably).  Now if some poojas’ were to be performed on reducing this “Struggle” and had these poojas’ been effective as claimed... The person wouldn’t have lived his destined life. See how much potential the God has put in his life and an astrologer did a pooja and interfered with a plan beyond the scope of his understanding.

Our life is written or described in a crazy language which all the astrologers claim to know. In fact all of them are mere interpreters of the messages.  Like some poem written in Persian when translated to English not only misses its true poetic essence but also loses the originally intended meaning astrology too provides a description of the predicted life from the biased and skewed mind of the man/woman who is playing the role of the interpreter. Even if you find an expert you cannot reproduce the thought of the poet.

We are the beings whose poetry of life is written each day through multiple things touching our lives. Why ruin it for a poor translation? Be a part of the bigger plan. Do what your inner voice asks you to do.

Crib Post

Irk and irritation is running deep under my skin.  When I shoot angry looks at friends and loved ones for no reason and mumble swear words beneath my breath I suddenly wonder- What the hell happened?

Well, I don’t know what started it all but it has been over a month now since I have been unwell. I went on from vomiting everything I ate or drank to being admitted in hospital for about five days getting discharged only to come back to the hospital for a minor surgery to get rid of the abscess formed due to negligence of the hospital.  I don’t remember the day my bowel movements were my own business, when my ass cheek (where the abscess was) wasn’t bared every day to get traumatized with the pain of nursing a post surgery wound.

When I cried and cringed with pain someone informed me that there were worse things. I don’t get that relativity. All I know is I haven’t been able to sit, sleep or walk properly for a while, or even take a good shower and got my body cut on an Operation Theater because a fucking nurse didn’t poke the injection in the right manner. I felt like grabbing a knife and digging it in their skin to leave an inch and half deep open wound just to see if that person would stick to the theory even now. From my experience I’ll tell you, it is not the best of the things to advice people when they are on a hospital bed.

I don’t pick the calls. I want to be left alone because I tired of telling everybody what happened and how I am doing now. Some would click their tongues, “Can’t you be thankful, that there are people who love you?” I am thankful and grateful in a very deep way but what I am NOT thankful for is how I ruined the fun of everybody around, transforming all my loved ones in little nannies and guardians running to look after me like I am helpless  little baby sitting in poop.

Enough said. Now I am officially/finally done with the cribbing.

Wishing myself a happy speedy recovery!

P.S: Comments are off. And don’t you dare send me “Oh! Get well soon” mails. Honestly, I know you people care. I am very blessed- just, not the right mood to receive that love.

The Story

“What!!”
“What the hell happened?”
“What is wrong with you?”
“Are you serious?”
“Stop kidding now!”
“WHY?”

Well, these are the exact words in which people expressed their reaction to the news-“I am getting married”
Some of them were close friends, a few not so great friends but by and large people I wanted to share the news with. While I wasn’t very surprised how they found it too hard to believe I was amazed by how each and every person who got to know about the news reacted in the same manner. I give myself a pat on my back. Wow, I startled everyone including me.  I had very strong opinion about arranged marriages or love marriages rather marriages all together! I was often vocal about these opinions too and here I am declaring that I am getting engaged to a guy I have known for barely a month and that I had made the decision to get married to him over just two days. Shocking! I know.

Now that I have experienced something amazing I want to put it out there- this decision of mine which seems too sudden and out of the blue for many.  I don’t want to sound too cliché and tell you all what is not true- I will not tell you it was love at first sight and all the crap. Here is the how it happened-

It took incredible amount of coaxing and cajoling from my mom who turned the world around to make me understand there was nothing wrong in meeting a guy – it is not like you will get married the next moment. Take your time, decide for or against it. But give it a try. I pushed myself reluctantly and literally ate the head of every friend around me trying to gather as much as understanding of the situation I was suddenly in. An open mind was needed. I decided to be bluntly frank, no different than who I am and seriously give it a chance and consider the guy.

As judgmental, fussy and choosy as I seem- I was always looking for those minor appreciable qualities- A mind that looks at life like I do and is able to converse and hold my attention, startle me with every word that’s spoken. I found it and I was amazed. In a matter of first few hours I found myself trying to calm down, think rationally and not get too excited about what I can possibly discover about this man. Intuition was another thing. You must be familiar with the over used and abused statement, “You will know when the right one comes along.” I can vouch for it now- That stupid cliché fancy line is true!! I would have laughed had I heard from someone else but that is bloody well true! However, I should tell you that since life is no fairytale, I brushed the intuition aside and used every iota of my brain in understanding the implications of getting involved with him, making him a part of my already awesome life.

I am amazed at how someone I never knew existed shared the same thoughts and similar understanding of life, had the exact opinions and expectations from a marriage. I kept wondering as he spoke- is this really happening? Everything I discovered about him made me like him a little more. The surprise was written all over my face- I was left speechless and breathless.  We both were very aware of the vibe, of the rapport we had discovered. Very aware that we had little time, we shared the most unpleasant things about ourselves rather than the good aspects and saw how the other person took it. When all the skeletons were out of the cupboard it didn’t seem too scary and we figured we can live with each other and perhaps live very well.

Few people who got to know the news couldn’t help conceal their fears and concerns which I understand because I answered all of these by myself before I said yes-

1.       Are you ready for this?- There is never a defined time when you can say I am ready for a marriage. Many people also ask- do you have the maturity to handle it. How the heck do I know.. It is not like a trial and error thing. Honestly, because I have found a guy who I believe is the best companion I could have found I will be present and live every minute of the relationship and willingly part my life with him. That is all I know and rest is that beautiful word called – FAITH

2.       Why so early?- I want to question back in answer- Do you ever postpone joy?

3.   What about your career? Of course no compromises on that. I wouldn’t have liked him if he didn’t understand that.

4.     You barely know him. How can you know?- You can’t complete the understanding cycle in a matter of months or years- it takes a lifetime. Whatever little I know about him gives me that faith and belief that I want to take that risk of become his companion. And, I want that lifetime to discover little things about him and be amazed each day.

5.     Can you deal with the change?- I’ve found a guy who likes who I am and who wouldn’t want to change the way I live my life. There are many new things that come with a marriage, I agree.  But it will continue to be just me in a different situation of life.

6.       Why arranged?- Because it found me the guy I felt like marrying.

Simple Man [Short Poem]

“I am a simple man” you tell me
And you ask, “What about me, do you adore?”
You being oblivious about the darling you are
It makes me fall for you, each day, a little more!

Have your health- On Playing and Thyroid

[Personal-post]
I am so happy today. I played! I played after like a gap of one to one and half year. I was on the court few days back and I was pathetic. But yesterday, I was smooth, I was moving like melted butter on bun top! I haven't had this kind of flexibility since ages, my arms which could break a thick glass in one blow were weak, but I was hitting those smashes, those side boxes, net touching drops. Mind was focused, attention - rapt. I was panting and puffing, taking break every now and then. There were some clumsy shots. But it felt good just to be there- to be able to hold my racquet.

Just three months back I had hit that abysmal low. When you do everything you can and you still don't lose weight, forget the weight, you just don't feel fit and healthy. I was eating right, walking eight kilometers everyday. Jogging every alternate day but I was putting on. There were inexplicable mood swings [PMS? No]. Some fatigue, I never understood. I ate sprouts. I ate everything healthy but nothing was turning the weighing scale down or making me feel any better. Back in school days when were preparing for the game (I was in 11th) I cut out on all outside food and I could feel my energy levels shoot up. I didn't know why I couldn't feel that difference now. Was I ageing at 24?  That thought itself was painful.

I just assumed I was lazy or was missing out on something. May be I shouldn't even eat those sinful calorific comfort giving food even once a week. But, I am food lover, I cook, I eat and I am not the dieting kind of person. One life- enjoy it. And all food is good in right quantities, an occasional indulgence was fine too. But, what was happeing? Then came a blessing in disguise when I took a Thyroid test. I never imagined this could be a medical condition. I was diagonized with Hypothyroid. It was a shock, even though my mom had suffered from it. I couldn't believe it. There is nothing one can do really- you got it, you will have. You cannot change it. My mom was so upset. But, then why crib about something that you cannot do much about.  Worse the values were way too off the normal levels. Which meant, I have had it for a while. So there it was the root cause of all my troubles. The fatigue, mood swings, weight gain -everything wrong.

I was put on medication immediately to supplement the thyroid my body wasn't making. I had learned to cut out on damaging foods like cabbage, sprouts, soy and other related food items. Yes, sprouts are unhealthy for a hypothyroid person. I read every material available about Thyroid. I bought couple of books and read them too. I just wanted my health back. I immediately lost about a kilo and the doctor conveyed, I would lose more if I continued the routine I was following. I stand at 66.something today, I was 69. I am moving towards my goal of 60 kgs. The mood swings were gone within a week after I started medication. I felt more energetic. I was my pleasant self again. I was cheerful, I felt healthy. :) My thyroid levels had come down to normal in just one month!

When I played for 3 hours yesterday. The stamina was low but I was there on the court. The strength was returning to my arms, my feet were moving, my body was synchronizing with the shuttle. I realize I need to work some more. So, I am beginning my jog routine today. Switching from walks to jogs. I wan't to be able to move better on the court, gain more flexibility, look at myself in the mirror and feel little more great! ;)

Have your health. Dare you- don't say you don't have the time.  Everybody has the time to do something they really want to do.

Note: Hypothyroidism actually isn't as crazy as they describe in most of the websites. Your body doesn't make thyroid, you supplement it externally and you are as good as normal. But, it helped me realize, health can effect everything that you are and everything you can be.

Looking Back...

Today I spent a great deal of my morning reading posts of blogger friends. It all reminded me of the days when I used to blog about me. About whats happening in my life how I feel and all. Even when this blog was started I never knew, never imagined I will have about 15-20 short stories and over 50 poems. I had begun this with a mind that I will write Analogies and talk about life discreetly. But somewhere, I got high on the writing and was exploring new stuff, poems and stories and there was no looking back at how it all began. Today, something made me want to explore the previous posts. And, if you read through these you will probably see me as a different person all together. So, linking back to some posts which are not stories or poems but are just me:

The Power of Unrest: I had written this post when I was trying for placement through my college. I had never faced rejection, got placed effortlessly in Engineering but in this written exam I was put on hold. I didn't even want that IT job back then. I didn't know what I wanted. But, guess what, they called for an interview later and I did get placed in the first company I tried for. Yep. That's where I work now and I love my IT job.

Different Worlds: This is a post which I had written more for myself than others. It is about judging people.

Lights: I had written  this post around Diwali last year. My sister was about to get married. It was fun time!

The Battle: Being a tomboy, one is not very sure what to do when walks into a beauty saloon alone.  This was one such experience.

Unsighted: This  was what I had written when I realized how people are much more than what we know them to be- in a good way.

Fragile Happiness: This is an analogy I am so proud of. The dynamics of happiness aren't that easy.

Small Initiatives: It doesn't take a huge leap, it take a small step to get you where you want to be.

Grief.. in decibels: This was what I had written when there was constant construction noise that had managed to make my life hell.

Good day- Let's talk!

December 1st and I am full of joy already. Birthday mood is creeping in, I am looking at things to buy, and I am holding on to that cash so that I can splurge on the D Day. So, a month and a half for Jan 12   Well, one big woamp I will be turning 25. There are a lot of things that are a little different this time. I am on my first job and I will actually get myself a gift with own money- now that feels nice! I will buy (and have bought one) a dress that is elegant and suave compared to the baggy jeans and over sized t-shirts which became a trademark for my tomboyish nature.

I wonder why people hesitate to celebrate birthdays, how naïve it is to feel sad about growing old? It is beautiful, miraculous- you lived another year, celebrate!! I mean considering the number of accidents and tragedies, if you have been walking around these streets and roads for past 20 something years and have not been knocked down dead by a bus or car - quite a blessing isn’t it? :P

I normally don’t prefer to write about myself on my blog, I have horribly good reasons not to do that. But, because I am in the birthday mood today, and I can feel the New Year round the corner I am going to spill out some beans. I appreciate all of you who have read my writings and have encouraged and inspired me in different ways. May be I can pick up my pen today and tell you something about me and move to that area of non-fiction.

1.       Nature is joy of my life. No matter how much I love the city hustle bustle and hop on and off the train to Bangalore at every given chance, I love the calm and serene towns. Greenery heals me is a manner I cannot describe in words.
2.       I am frank person and have no qualms about talking things straight. I hold my tongue when required but if you ask me a question- I will tell you what I truly think.
3.       It is very difficult for people to get on my wrong side but if they do I can be bitterly sarcastic, strangely aggressive and adamant.  However, most of the people I know tell me I am a very pleasant, positive and cheerful person.
4.       I have been a tomboy all my life and you will never ever find me giggling without reason or say,” OMG! Darlings, Sweets, Babe!” I keep my conversations simple.
5.       I come off as a feminist and I do some male bashing with my women oriented posts (I have been told so) but, surprisingly, I am not like that. I hate and appreciate men and women equally. There are good people, there are bad people. The good and bad here can be a man or a woman. Period.
6.       I write a lot about love and out of the 58 poems about 40 are about love. But, with my truest honesty- I have never been in love. Of course, I had my share of crushes but these poems don’t connect to any specific individual or a guy in my life. I haven’t dated; haven't got my heart stolen/broken, never got involved in any kind of relationship. Puff! There goes all the mystery behind the poems. Love is everywhere- you just need to have the eyes and the heart to write about it.
7.       I have been that kind of a kid who gets called to the principal’s office.
8.       When I write a story it engulfs me. The characters move around in my head and I become that protagonist and feel the pain or joy of the situation. One sure shot way to get some of my time and attention is to talk about one of my writings. I speak about everything I write with a passion that many do not understand or care for.
9.       Hard to believe, but I cry very easily. I don’t cry at stuff like someone spoke rudely and sorts. I cry at strange things. I cried while watching Happy Feet. :P I have tears of joy at the end of a sports movie when the team wins. I don’t understand it either.
10.   I am a route dummy. I drive cars, I walk, I am a very smart individual but I get lost on roads. True fact. Once I drove 8kms off track and circled a beautiful hill.  Not only that but I have some goof up in life. Everyday something funny definitely happens - It could be something as silly as getting a sandal broken in the middle of office and hobbling around with one foot high and another foot on the ground for the rest of the day.

Any thing else you would like to know? Today is the day, ask me tomorrow, I won't answer it. :P

The third kind

How often do we debate about Love marriage vs Arranged marriage? We discuss the pros and cons and I am amazed by people who take a side and defend it. Let me introduce you to the third kind. I belong to this clan.

The third kind:

We are a breed who snickers at people juggling relationships in search of true love. We are the kind who cannot wrap our minds to the concept of arranged marriage/love marriage.  So yes, we are the little lost kids of destiny who have no inclination to take the either of the path in front of us and have no idea what so ever, how to find  our mates.  Our attitude and behaviour is infectious and we can hurl ghastly blows to 'in love' and 'arranged to be married' couples or the mixture of both.

How to identify us:
  • 1. If you tell us you love us- we will probably laugh and roll on the floor which might cause you to change your mind.
  • 2.  We are usually, perpetually single. We are not mushy and lovesick, nor do we have any dream hero/ dream girl description to tally matrimonial profiles with.  We don’t know you see!
  • 3. We are far away from the worldly description of “a suitable bride/groom” and “an ideal girlfriend/boyfriend”. We don’t know how we will be as companions.  Our mind says it will depend on who we finally get tagged with.

Why we don’t get into relationships:
  • 1. We hate the whole cycle of – infatuation, dating, in relationship, fights, breakup – poof! We are anyway distressed souls so we leave the drama for the rest of the crowd.
  • 2.  Even if it ends on a happy note- we don’t have the patience to reach the stage till you figure out you can live your life in our company.
  • 3.  We can be romantic ( psst. read the love poetry I write) enough to confuse you that we are inclined to love. The reality is- we like the idea.. we don’t like the process. And don’t assume we are the sorry heartbroken people. We probably talk about it to ensure ourselves there is an organ that beats in our ribcage.

What we don’t like about arranged marriages:
  • 1. Brainless educated jackasses in search of a “disciplined”, fair, slim girl. :d in short an impressive looking doormat :P or a Phoren settled well off chap, a ticket to USA! ;)
  • 2. Your FB page and blogs telling us your parent(s) has no clue about the son/daughter you are and that the profile that they have created was keeping in mind what you were like a million light years ago.
  • 3. Uploading/Sending pics that look like mug shots taken in rented clothes! The idea of you probably judging us, “Oh can I sleep with that?” – It is sickening!

But we are a human form and yes we look out for company. I am particularly interested in the penguin style of finding a mate by singing- the song of heart? But,because I am no singing sensation beyond the walls of my home and my happy feet don’t tap. I guess that is not an option.  So, ending on a happy note with song of the heart courtesy: Happy Feet :D

Captured Writings!

This is about another project I am involved with. I have teamed up with an excellent photographer friend of mine (Ashish Arora- Ashish Arora Photography). My job is to bring out the story from the pictures captured by him. Hope you all enjoy our little experiment with creativity.

Here is a para from the first story "The Best Art" with the Photograph:

Amidst the sea of expressionless faces and distracting waves of fake expressions were her eyes. Eyes that were soothing because of their genuineness and enigmatic because of the tales they revealed. Her sight set in a downward glance but not looking down but looking back. Looking back at her life or memories or brunt dreams that have slipped from her eyes to the Kohl smudged eye contours. Was it sorrow? It wasn’t. Was it pain? Maybe. Was it a silent display of achievement – any personal victory? A tinge of accomplishment could be traced. But it was more. It was beyond the general classifications of happiness or sadness. It was a whole gamut of emotions delicately held in what seemed like windows to her soul.  Her feminine hands framed her eyes, her thoughts with a grace that only a woman can display.

Dream of growth

Have you ever felt an incredible urge to grow? It is funny but something like how "The Hulk" transforms into a big invincible creature. Do you have these enormous growth pangs? After one small feat which many would call an achievement do you see yourself at the end of a cliff from where you need to take a big leap to become the something better? Does that hunger and restlessness make you toss in your bed? Does it strain your neurons to a limit that they are tuned to think nothing else. Do you feel that inability to sit because you are empowered by an enormous will and desire? Do your feel like screaming your lungs out? Do you feel like a runner waiting for the gun shot- waiting patiently for the right moment to unleash your thoughts into motion? Move with all the speed  you have got?

Do you feel your two hands firmly resting on a big rock- pushing it with all your strength? The objective - is not moving the rock. It is to feel a higher energy level. A higher form of you. Do you have a dream? A dream that is not the destination. A dream is that is the journey. A dream that is the burn. A dream that is the need. A dream that is the realization to grow. A dream that is the growth. And contentment is the death.

P.S: The post is multicoloured.

Tiptoeing ?

We grumble. We ache. We silently complain. We wish things get better. We dream of better things. We are constant self naggers. We don’t accept what we have. We refuse to believe. We refuse to have patience. We get dejected. We fall into deep emotional pits. We complain about life.  We try to avoid all the falls!

We behave like an OCD maniac who tip-toes on the street to avoid a fall. We are tiptoeing in our life. What difference would it make to bruise a knee, fall face down, break a leg, see your trust shattered into million pieces, face shut doors, reach dead ends, and take wrong turns or miss something?  NOTHING!

It is not about looking for the best in everything. That is honestly wishful thinking. There are dark areas, there are pain points. There are things that will make you roll into a ball and cry. The point I am trying to make here is- good things happen. Bad things happen. We Learn. Unlearn. Relearn. Or don’t learn. What ever we do- Life goes on. Good things happen. Bad things Happen. Poof!

End of story.

Illusion of logic!

Mind is probably our biggest burden. It holds life in its hands and strangles it for logic.  It leaves us apprehensive. Apprehensive about the things we do. Apprehensive when we can’t figure out  what to do. Apprehensive.  Just,  apprehensive.  No, that’s not funny. Imagine our mental restlessness to place things in boxes that we lay down on our backs look at the beautiful sky and try and make sense of the shape of the clouds.  That, looks like an elephant! Ya.. that’s like a bird.

We are constantly killing ourselves to make sense. We take pride to tell..,” hey you know I am wiser!” Well, has anyone ever been able to define even one percent of what exactly wisdom means? Socrates too washed his hand off saying, “Hey! I know nothing!”

We make judgements and feel bad about them, But wasn’t that the whole point of experiences and learning’s... to able to judge better, know things before they happen? But we do get hit; we stumble upon road blocks, fall with our face down …flat! Our logic takes a wrong ‘U’ turn gets caught by the police of life, gets heavily fined for getting into a wrong lane- loses out on petrol stops in the middle of the road when signal changes green and everybody moves honking annoyingly at it.. While it just stands there…with its face down it slowly pushes to the side.

Logic is a myth, a maze, a drug we take to be able to handle the ambiguities of life. Logic comforts us. True. But that may not be our reality!  Just a beautiful illusion that tucks life into it's warm blanket to prevent it from the winter chill!

Changes at my end!

Hey all!

Doesn't look like I have taken a long break but considering the frequency I used to post at.. I feel like I've had a hiatus. Well this is a general post to tell you all I have been fine and there have been so many changes at my end. I have moved into a new house. I have started to work. So.. lot of things.. settling down. I currently so preoccupied with enjoying the new drama in life that I need to flush my brain with new thoughts to be able to write something decent enough  to be read by worth readers like you all. So while I take my sweet little time to stretch myself back into the vibe.. fill me up what you have been up to?

Small initiatives

There are times we have this unsettled feeling. While mostly we are seeing things with utmost clarity, quickly  making analysis in our brain about what to do next.. we suddenly suspend, fall in a rut and do things out of routine. Our brain stops registering that we have options to make things better. To improve, to change and to reason things out. We get irritated, frustrated and feel helpless not understanding what is causing our mind itch, what is holding us back?? It is not great issues in life that we slip through. It is mostly as simple as putting your shoes back in the shoe rack as against kicking them off on the floor. It is simple. Simple as smiling at someone you know rather than waiting for them to recognize you. Simple as letting go. Simple as deviating from the routine and being different once in a while.

The biggest task is to keep our eyes open, look for simple issues. Simpler solutions. It is very difficult to do that. We don't really notice how we have changed ! We are tricked to think when was it any better? But do we ask ourselves as to why can't it be any better now? What stop us from taking initiatives. Small ones.

It works wonders. The only effort it takes to look at a door and open it.

Expessions

Of the million ways that humans communicate in, the simplest form of communication is via expressions. The beauty of the whole thing is-expressions communicate to us with unbelievable clarity.

Not only does a smile on someone’s face communicate their joy but it infects us. It makes us feel. It touches us somewhere. Same is with pain, the long face; the lowered eyelids pinch our heart. Or at least make us think once as to what would have caused so much pain for the other person. What made him or her sad? Like this there are various other expressions of surprise, joy, fun, shock, disgust, so many of them… and we decode them all. We sense them, we feel them, and we internalize them. Now won’t that equip us with better ability to understand one another?

But we look for smarter options. We are always waiting for people to speak up, tell us things, discuss. At the same time, we always want to share what we feel, we want at least one soul who will lend us an ear and listen to what we have to say and understand it in the way we want them to understand it.

And how easy it is to trace a fake expression! Haven’t we all caught it? We did. But we rely on explanations, theories and words. Tell me can you capture in words the joy in the heart of child when he plays, that laugh on his face? Can you capture in words the pride on the face of a father of a worthy son? Can you explain to in words the love that shows on the face of a mom as she cooks food for you.. or will I understand what it means when I see her eyes as she watches you eat?

Words by themselves will always fall flat.. unless you emote, liberate, and let an expression loose. Unless you show the cheer on your face when happy, a stern face when you are angry, a glint in your eye when you talk of love..!  And if someone still misunderstands you .. run for your life. Cause if they don't sense your expression.. they cannot be a human.
